Nasıl kurulur?
Direct → Reported: present → past, will → would, can → could, this → that, here → there
Örnek cümleler
"I am tired." → She said she was tired.
"Yorgunum." → Yorgun olduğunu söyledi.
"I will call you." → He said he would call me.
"Seni arayacağım." → Arayacağını söyledi.
"Are you ready?" → She asked if I was ready.
"Hazır mısın?" → Hazır olup olmadığımı sordu.

"say" → say (that) / "tell" → tell + person: She told me (not said me).

Aktarma fiili geçmiş zamandaysa (said, told, asked) aktarılan cümledeki zaman genellikle bir geri kayar:

Aktarma aynı yerde ve aynı gün yapılıyorsa bu ifadeler değişmeyebilir; önemli olan anlamın korunmasıdır.
Soru, emir ve rica cümleleri
- Evet/hayır soruları if ya da whether ile aktarılır: “Are you ready?” → She asked if I was ready.
- Soru kelimeli sorularda soru sırası bozulur, düz cümle sırası kullanılır: “Where do you live?” → She asked where I lived. (“where did I live” değil)
- Emir ve ricalar tell / ask + kişi + (not) to V ile aktarılır: “Sit down.” → He told me to sit down. / “Don’t be late.” → She asked me not to be late.
say, tell ve diğer aktarma fiilleri
- say kişi almaz (ya da “to” ile alır): She said (that) she was tired. / She said to me…
- tell mutlaka kişi alır: She told me (that) she was tired. “She told that…” ve “She said me…” yanlıştır.
- suggest + V-ing ya da that-clause: She suggested taking a taxi. (“suggested us to take” yanlış)
- deny / admit + V-ing: He denied breaking the window.
- promise / refuse / offer + to V: He promised to call me.
- advise / warn / remind + kişi + to V: The doctor advised me to rest.
Zaman her zaman kaydırılır mı?
Hayır. Söylenen şey hâlâ doğruysa kaydırma zorunlu değildir: He said the Earth goes around the Sun. Aktarma fiili şimdiki zamandaysa (says, has said) zaman da değişmez: She says she is tired.

Doğru cevap: where I lived. Dolaylı soruda düz cümle sırası ve zaman kaydırma: where I lived.
5.“Don’t touch the oven!” → She told the children ___ the oven.
Doğru cevap: not to touch. Olumsuz emir: tell + kişi + not to V.
6.“I have finished my project.” → He said he ___ his project.
Doğru cevap: had finished. Present Perfect → Past Perfect: had finished.
7.“Let’s take a taxi.” → She ___ a taxi.
Doğru cevap: suggested taking. suggest + V-ing: suggested taking.
Reported Speech hakkında sorular
tell mutlaka kime söylendiğini (kişiyi) alır: She told me the news. say kişi almaz ya da “to” ile alır: She said that she was busy. “She said me” ve “She told that” yanlıştır.
Aktarma fiili geçmiş zamandaysa genellikle kayar. Ancak söylenen hâlâ geçerliyse kaydırma zorunlu değildir; aktarma fiili şimdiki zamandaysa (says) zaman değişmez.
Evet/hayır soruları if ya da whether ile, soru kelimeli sorular aynı soru kelimesiyle aktarılır; her iki durumda da cümle düz sıraya döner ve do/does/did düşer: “Do you like it?” → He asked if I liked it.
